I have a big, smart dog. He can take the screens out of the windows in seconds. I am looking for some kind of metal mesh I can put over the exterior of the windows. I don't want burglar bars. The closest thing I've seen to what I want is the screening they put on wrought iron fencing/gates to keep small dogs inside. It won't look too odd because solar screens are common here. It's not hardware cloth.
What is that stuff called? Anyone know where to get it?
I would do something like a kiddie/doggie gate, on the INSIDE. Most will pressure fit inside the window sill. Mesh added to the outside won't prevent damage to the screens. A doggie gate will. And you can remove it in an instant when you don't want it.

Thanks! But these are big powerful dogs. The gates are not tall enough or strong enough. The dogs can open and lock doors. They have locked me out before. And if they want ice, they use the icemaker. Baby gates and regular screens are pretty useless.

I have no solutions however I am ROTFLOL at just the image of your dogs doing this stuff.
They sound like they could make you a fortune on YouTube.
