We did it ourselves with a store bought epoxy paint about 10 years ago. The concrete was new at thew time. We're pleased that it held up pretty well considering the cost and skills invested. It has worn/stained in a few spots but still looks and feels vastly better than if we had not painted at all.
The color is tannish with complimentary flecks...sorta on the order of the Oak. It hides our summer driveway dirt pretty well. Winter road slush mixed with the highway department's melting stuff is greyer... but sweeps out pretty well.
My advice includes trying to determine what 'kind of'/color dirt is likely to soil your floor and consider how the color compliments/matches the walls.
I’ve done a garage floor twice with epoxy, it holds up well, although I had to redo the floor after a few years because we were selling and the floor does get worn in spots. Marble, Silver Spring and Moonstone are good classic colors that would hide dirt.
You could move away from the traditional boring flecks to something more organic and visually appealing like this:
And to add, even if you spill oil or mess it up a bit, the wow factor pushes any mess to the side....
