JMO, the house will look better with one color, the trim, doors and shutters are the break up color.
I don't really like any of the houses where I saw two different colors, again, JMO
Painting the door and shutters any color you like is always fun because it changes a whole look and if you don't like the color after while, it really isn't that much to re-paint.
I do like that with the shakes. That's also my style too
That picture is pretty typical here. We have some homes with slightly lighter shades of the two colors. Some are combined with white trim and others are combined with tan trim.
I like yellow and white or navy blue and white. The green and gray just are depressing to me. Drive around your neighborhood or area and see what you like.

Start from the shade of the roof when choosing the color of the facade of the house, not vice versa. Although now a wide selection of materials is presented - slate, profiled steel sheet, classical, metal - their colors are not so diverse.
