Looks like to have reagange your (?) furniture, so the pool will become more visible and you'll have a better view of your back yard.
Lol, it's fine. It faces 2 large deep seating chairs with ottomans to make a conversational area, and which do have a view of the yard and pool, as does all the other furniture to the right and left of the shot. The picture just shows a small area of a 60 foot long patio section, and was only taken so that I would remember how I'd folded the quilt on it before I removed it and covered the furniture when we were getting the out-of season stormy weather. One of these days I'll take a more flattering picture.

Will do, Ohio girl, but they're probably easier to find in your area than mine. There is a 'vintage gliders' website located back east that sells them for triple what I paid, but gives you an idea of all the styles they come in. They have the bouncy chairs, too. They will powdercoat paint them to your specs. Mine, found on Craigslist, was in excellent shape but was yellow and all my other patio furniture is beige, so I spray painted it with Rustoleum and bought new end caps for the feet. They're certainly built to last. I read somewhere they were made in the late 40's and early 50's from the excess post-war steel.

Yea I found a Danish Modern credenza with sliding doors on CL. Perfect as a liquor cabinet.

The new challenge is converting my sunporch to 50s Tiki style.

Love the danish modern stuff too. I did my office in that.
It seems like 50's furniture is the craze now, I like the old stuff.

What great finds have you come across lately?
As you can tell, I am TOTALLY into the mid-century modern look:

I got everything in my house that is new from ebay shops. EBPETERS is especially great and has really good customer service!

All our furniture is retro from relatives. If it works don't throw it out.

Every spare part I've needed to restore an old gem (1870's-1940's) came from this catalog- not sure if it would apply to 50's and beyond, but their selection is huge.

Default Retro Finds

Has anyone stopped over at Purple Armchair on West Street in Downtown Raleigh? They have great finds and some very unique pieces. Danish Modern sprinkled there as well as some antiques and some great plates and other misc. items
