I saw a great ad for Canopy brand furniture in a magazine, but reading the fine print, saw it's sold exclusively by Walmart...has anyone seen this furntiure in real life (not sold at any store locally)...if so, let me know if you like it and it's comfy...I liked the styles, hesitant about a Wmt purchase though. Thanks all!
Have not seen it - looks like a step up from chipboard furniture [this is plywood with a birch veneer] but you can find used solid wood for a lot less -- I have a GORGEOUS oak desk and chair I got on Craigslist for $100 ---- of course if you want all the peices to match this may be a good choice for low end furniture.
We recently fell in love with a very cushy chair at Walmart. It had a very elegant look, was very comfy, but was very expensive like $599? I think it was the brand you are talking about.
Nothing Walmart sells is any good. I searched and searched and could find no mention if this is yet another Chinese piece of junk. Based on the pricing, it has to be. Walmart sells nothing American made.
We just bought two Canopy dressers, and like them alot. You do have to
assemble them. The company is actually Sauder, and we have never
liked that company. But this Canopy stuff is a step up. And I LOVE
Walmart.com site to store free shipping. I love shopping there. The
dressers really do look great and are pretty well made. Try them, if you
dont like them take em back. No problem returning at Wally world!
I got the most comfortable patio chairs at walmart. I don't know the model line/range but they're "better homes & gardens" cushions and look like natural wicker, but it's really weatherproof plastic. They are SO comfortable. I keep waiting for more of the stuff to go on sale/clearance but it keeps selling out - the pieces I got were the last left (demo even) last year at full price. Love it.
I saw the display at WalMart this past Saturday. Didn't look too bad. Of course they had them bolted to the riser display, but the table and chairs and the sideboard that were displayed looked nice. I might consider them in the future. May try to look at another store, there's one in another area of town that might not bolt them down, so you could actually try the chairs, I know they do that for insurance requirements, but it's still silly.
We recently bought new house in Floirda and bought a lot of things from Walmart. Canopy seems to be the 'name' they put on a certain quality of items they sell. We bought Canopy Towels - they are really nice quality, thick and fluffy, wash well. We also got a great deal on patio furniture. Bought in November, because it was out of summer season, it was in the sale. Large oval glass top table, 4 comfy chairs with cushions and 4 folding chairs (ideal for beach) $190. They had extra chairs for sale - as above - for $100. Will definitely look in Walmart again in the future.
I've noticed that Walmart has really stepped up in regards to the quality of their furniture/home goods. They still have the less expensive items, but some nicer stuff for a still decent price. I went to one of their Sam's Club stores before the holidays and was shocked at some of the really great products offered.
