We have Bruce floors everywhere. The living room is a mess!!! To say the least, I tried everything to get them clean and shiney. Does anyone have any ideas. I was told steam would work. Well steam looks good until it drys. Next step is to steel wool to get all the haze off, but how do I protect it so it will look beautiful again and stay that way?

Communicated directly with Bruce, they don't have a clue. The rest of the house is fine it's not a high traffic area.

Thanks, Connie

uhh... you shouldn't steam clean your engineered flooring since it may warp. How old is your floor? It may very well need to be professionally refinished. If you have animals and wear shoes inside the house it won't last more than 5 or 7 yrs.

If you wear shoes in the house it will take its toll on any flooring. That is why altho mnay homes came with hradwood floorig i the opast ;carpet that was changed morebecame poplar. it take alot of care to keep hardwood floor nice which means how about removalable area rugs that were so popular also with tohse floors in the past.
