My son's bedroom has chair rail a few inches down from the ceiling, about where a wallpaper boarder would hit. I don't know if you'd call it "chair rail" up that high, but it isn't crown moulding, either. Anyway, we are going to paint, and I want to do two different shades of blue. I was going to do a really dark blue above the moulding and a lighter shade below for the main wall color. He wants the dark color below and the light color above. What do you think? Is there a correct way to do it? Thanks!
thanks for the input. I was going to compromise with him and do one whole wall dark blue, above and below the moulding, and do dark on top and lt on the bottom on the other 3 walls. Any thoughts? I'm not good at this kind of thing!
Do you have a picture of the room by any chance? with that molding being so high it may look odd. Otherwise you can just take it down and paint everything one color.
