Has anyone compared 2015 Acura RDX to 2016 Acura RDX? There are great deals to be had on 2015 Acura RDX, not so with 2016 as dealers want to move the 2015s.

I know there's some little things like height adjustable passenger seat, rear air vents, and the LED headlights. The 2015 has xenon HID projector headlights which I find more than good enough.

Is the driving experience any different with 2016 and 2015? They say fuel economy is improved, more power from engine and improved AWD system. Are these real and perceptible or just marketing gimmicks?? It's not like they went to direct injection engine and SHAWD. Yes there is more safety 'nanny' tech in 2016 but maybe Im old school in thinking that's more to break down, and I prefer the mechanical buttons and rely on properly adjusting my mirrors for no blind spots.

I can get a 2015 Acura RDX AWD Tech for <$2k more than 2015 Honda CRV AWD Touring, but would have to spring $5k more for 2016 RDX than 2015 RDX. Add another $2k more for the Advance RDX. I think the small premium over the CRV is well worth it, but the larger premium of the 2016 over the 2015 not at all, but wanted to get others thoughts.

I think it all depends on your styling preference. If you like the look of the 2015 the certainly go with that...it's a great car. However, I saw the 2016 in person and it looks like a smaller MDX, which I like. I would pay the premium for the newer one if it was me, but if you are OK with the looks of the 2015 then go with it.

I recently test drove them both, and found no perceptible difference in the everyday driving experience. The LED lights are the only exterior difference I could really tell. The 2016 has better tech and safety tech, no doubt, and other niceties, but the deals on 2015 put it in price range to cross shop with higher level Honda CRVs. The everyday driving experience is really no different to me, making the 2015 an incredibly good value.

Now if they were the same price, would I pick 2016 over 2015? Absolutely, but leaning towards 2015 as I can get it $5k cheaper than 2016 ($7k cheaper than Advance), and at that price it is TOTALLY worth the small $2k premium over the Honda CRV Touring.
