The V6 didn't cut it. The RL deserves a V8!!! I love the styling of the RL, but I pray that Acura leaves the ugly shield from the TL in the garbage bin!

Honda CEO confirms V8 for Acura

You didn't look on the website? It looks like the current version has that badge.

Ya. I saw that. But in the recent past reports, Honda has said that they'll reconsider that shield front end for the RL. We'll see the new RL in either LA or DTW.

When the Acura RL acquires the V8 engine, will it also change to a rear-wheel drive vehicle? Are the two intertwined? Thanks.

The RL is coming with sh-awd now. So, Acura finally gets the driveline and engine it needs, and now its styling is lacking...

You could stick a V-8 that got 100 MPG and I still predict that the car will be a sales flop. It is a great car, but it is neither as sporty nor as luxurious as other choices. The sporty folks buy Infiniti and the Luxury folks buy Lexus. I just hope they fire whoever is in charge of designing their cars. The new TL? Pa-leeez! That thing looks so ugly, like something out of "Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome". The last TL was such a nice looking car. It kind of reminded me of something like an Alfa Romeo or other Italian rides.

So is there something inherently wrong with doing things in a Japanese way?
The thing I like most about America is how diverse it is.

There comes a day when I4's, I5's and V6's just can't cut it.
