So I've got two bathroom sinks and both are slow drainers. When one is filled with water and slow draining, the water comes up from the drain of the other sink. I tried taking the p pipe off the one side and it looked clear. I put it on and it leaked, so I took it off and put it back on again and it still is leaking. What should I see about doing about the leak and the slow draining?
Your problem isn't with the traps- it's below the 4-way sanitary fitting- inside the red box.
So, from the pic you'll see that as one sink drains the water will just travel to the other sink- following the path of least restriction.
As for the trap, it shouldn't leak if you reinstall it correctly- that's assuming that it wasn't leaking before.
I use it all the time- because it works ALL the time!
