I would like to know what type of inexpensive setup would you recommend for audio in my garage?
I will be purchasing a projector where I can have it stream movies from Netflix and it is also can play Dvd's for my home theatre, then I would also like to use the same speakers to have it where I can play some music when I have get together with my friends or any events
For my back patio I bought a second samsung sound bar with a wireless sub. I think it was 170.00 at costco and does a great job for the limited use I give it
A real man's garage is a "working" garage- all it really needs is an AM/FM radio! Preferably one out of a car, wired to bare speakers, and powered by a 12v power supply/invertor.
"Parties" and "Movies" are for the house- like, girl's Bunco night!!!
Hint: *Listen* to various stereo systems with your eyes closed. You may find some less expensive brands sound better than the expensive "name" systems!
Same goes for that "big" expensive speaker wire. Use the little wire which comes with the system on one speaker and the big expensive wire on another speaker. Have a blindfolded person tell you which is which. I'll bet they can't tell!
Also typical man cave behavior is a bunch of guys in various states of intoxication. For that, the "bare speakers, and powered by a 12v power supply" system should do just fine!
When I replaced my old hi-fi system with a new updated surround sound system I put the old system in my garage. Sounds just great for a garage party.
OP you can go to a pawn shop or second hand resale store and for under $150.00 pick up a good used receiver and a couple of speakers, DVD player, TV monitor for the garage.

And the bathroom is an empty (hopefully) five gallon bucket that used to hold drywall compound.

Hell; I'm not THAT discreet! That's why there are bushes outside the door.
Besides, I prefer the aroma of mineral spirits, gasoline, and oil than urine.
Now there's a "movie"- beer in one hand and you know what in the other, hugging a bush!
