Anyone have any experience with non-salt water softeners?
Basically, any of them actually do the job?

What; like actually "soften" the water? No.

They are actually conditioners (de-scalers). Knowing the actual analysis (mineral content & ppm) will tell you which is the better way to go.

If you were looking at it strictly from a financial standpoint- you got it all wrong!

If I was looking at it financially, I would be installing a water softener that used salt; they are less expensive than the other products.
Thanks anyway....
