Does any one have any experience with buying and installing sliding shelves for kitchen cabinets? Specifically for pots and pans in a lower cabinet. Good brands? Wire or wood? Any advice appreciated.

I bought and installed a Rev-a-Shelf double wire shelf. Very sturdy.

We have wood-mode cabinets (36"), bottom glide wood shelf, metal glides. Holds 7 stacked frying pans and 4 stacked pots. All Clad copper core (pretty heavy).

I have actual deep drawers, not cupboards for my pots and pans and heavier bakeware. I LOVE them! If you're remodeling and putting in new cabinets, I HIGHLY recommend them.

I'm not redoing the cabinets, just trying to make them more functional.

I have used both wire and wood. Wire is fine for pots and pans. Wood is better for pantry items. Be sure to measure your cabinets correctly to get the right size. Installation is straightforward.

One of the best things I did was a slide out waste basket.

I have both wood and wire fixtures on slide glides. 13 years old and not a problem so far. Especially the 5 shelves of canned goods which are full due to living rural. 24 miles to the nearest grocery.

All were installed when the kitchen cabinets were built and installed.

Would highly recommend their utility.

Good luck!

I have one also and love it! Not like this, but one that the carpenter/cabinet maker made for me.
