I have an old milkshake blender from the 70's, the light green one that was iconic in malt shops. Got it from a restaurant they were closing in a hotel I worked in during college. Don't know why I've kept it this long, I never use it.

A picnic basket with plastic plates and cups and a red checkered cloth. I have never been on a picnic. Ever.

Inside, I suppose it's three large blue metal fish on a tall stand. It looks like they're swimming. It's in my bedroom. Odd but I like it. Outside it's hard to say, probably a string of five metal orbs hanging from a branch in a tall tree. I no longer remember how I got it up there.

An old flexible flyer sled repurposed as an organizer for our kitchen. It has space on the underside for a calendar, a small shelf that holds things like pens and bandaids, and a small cork bulletin board. A small phone directory hangs from a carabiner that is attached to one of the metal runners.

There's an authentic Victorian-era settee in my garage which is now in its third generation in my family. My mother insisted on bringing it with her when she moved from Pennsylvania to live with me in Arizona. There's absolutely no room for it in my small house if we also want to have a modern sofa (which ironically my mother has commandeered as her personal sitting space). So there it sits, taking up needed storage space in my garage (I have no basement or attic), covered with movers' blankets. I have offered it to every member of my extended family (that's the only disposal method she would accept) but so far have had no takers.
