We've just had a Cerameta vinyl floor installed (looks like wood, is replacing laminate). The issue is what to clean it with (it looks dirty to me). I printed out the Care and Maintenance guide, but all it says is to use a "quality non-oil based, detergent free cleaner frequently". Does anyone have a specific name of a cleaner that would fit this description.
I've tried the wet swifter and it looks worse, also tried "Floor Shine" which did a pretty good job, but I'd like to know of any cleaners that meet that criteria above and made the floor look really clean.
Really, plain ole Windex will clean it??????? And make it look clean?????????
Of course. By the manufacturer's description- non-oil, no detergent. When you clean windows with Windex, the main reason is to cut dirt, dust, and other contaminants leaving a streak-free surface. You'll get the same results on a floor. That's one of the worst things about Swiffer- leaves a streaky cloudy residue on flooring.
Now your only challenge is if Windex cuts through whatever is on your floor.
Once our "raging Nor'easter" winds down, I'll get some windex; have also ordered a steam mop from Amazon.
Thank you both for taking the time to answer my post, much appreciated. Other than this cleaning issue, the floor is great.
