We want to add wainscoting to our daughter's bedroom (floorplan image is attached).
How should we deal with the bay window? It's a full-length window. There's really no way (or no remotely simple way) to add the wainscoting between the windows.
Should we only add wainscoting to the walls labels A, B, & C? Will that look odd not having it on all 4 walls?
We thought about painting the bay window wall an accent color to draw attention away from the fact there's no wainscoting. Would that help or make it worse? Would it be best to add the wainscoting to the short walls right to the corner of the window?
Are you painting the wainscoting? Are you capping off the top of it with a piece of trim? If so, you can paint the walls between the windows the same color as the wainscoting to the same height as the wainscoting and then just put a piece of the same trim at the top, and then it will look as if there is wainscoting there too.

I've had this scenario several times on a couple of plans that I built. It was the B'fast area. I had my trim guy trim all three windows "together" using casing around the perimeter, create a continuous stool and apron, then fill-in between the windows with flat stock. It gave the impression of one large sectional bow window.
