No! Singles are singles, twins are twins-

Just Google bed/mattress sizes and see for yourself- does anybody verify information anymore; or do you just "assume"?

No need for box springs anymore. All you need is a bed platform. The mattresses for these platforms are very thick and have their own foam or plastic springs in the middle. Some of the platforms are made of metal, while other are made of other materials, including wood. Some are close to the floor, while others are elevated. I prefer the latter, since it allows for storing things under it.

Agreed. Definitely try the bunky boards too if you get a taller king size mattress on top of a tallish frame.
Even taller people will appreciate it

Do you just "assume" that people don't use Google? I did and the results said that singles and twins are the same size.

Oh, if you want storage space under your bed, buy a really old antique one. I could probably fit six bodies underneath my bed; it's that far off the floor. The Corgi used to walk underneath it without crouching!

Does it "say" they're the same size or the same thing?

There is a "single"- it's just not that common in the US&Canada as the chart "says". In the EU/UK a "single" is 36"X75".
