I have nothing like some of you. My house was built in 2002, so my built ins are not older than that. My Whirlpool oven is original, and it works very well, as does the microwave that is built into the cabinet above the oven. I do not know how old the fridge is, but so far it works well.
The oldest small appliance I own is probably my Kitchenaid mixer, which was bought around 1999.
I also built my house in 2002. Except for my A/C and water heater, all the appliances are original and working fine. I think I'm "easy" on them and though sometimes it seems new ones are shinier, in cooler colors, and have a few features I'd like - mostly I'm afraid the quality is lower and I'd be sorry not to wait.
5 gallon water cooler. It’s a Whirlpool ca 2008 so 11 years old. I have a Hairr chest freezer. It’s about 9 years old but due to it being on the porch, it is rusting a little on the bottom.
My CRT TV circa 1988 or so didn't wear out. It only wouldn't work now because the doggo chewed the wire in half. Made me sad. That was a good TV!
Last year I retired my BIG Montgomery Wards console t.v. that I bought in 1988. It still worked even though the picture was less than stellar. But, I sold it for $25 on Craigslist. The guy I sold it to told me that he has it set up so it still in use-just not in my house.
My sig. other? ;-) He's old but still functions...
None of my appliances are really old. Maybe the Sears chest freezer purchased 10 years ago.
I did not read through all the posts, but sig. other told me that appliances made nowadays have a set expiration date! No kidding. He fooled Amana when the fridge died prematurely. Hunting around he found a small fuse that failed and replaced it, saving us the expense of buying a new fridge.
I sold a home in 2015 that had a freezer in it built in 1957 - Dutterers was the name on it and when I sold it was still running fine. I used to be afraid to unplug it and plug it back in, thinking it would certainly be the end but that thing kept everything frozen solid. Whoever originally purchased that thing got their money’s worth but a previous owner built a wall that would have to be torn down to ever get that thing out of the basement. Willing to bet it’s still running fine.

I wanted mine to be of use to someone also. But, doggo.

My old fridge was better than my new one. I might get an even OLDER one of mine that I gave to my Dad for his airplane hanger. I bought it used in college and what is that thing doing now? Running perfectly, unlike my new one. He can have a little one that is older than dirt and..........still running! Doesn't need a full sized one out there.
My 1993 Whirlpool washer. I hope it lasts for years longer since the new ones are crap.
Hey! Mine’s a couple of years older than yours! It’s a smaller washer, and I had something go wrong and I called my trusted repair guy, who fixed it for 60 bucks and warned me to keep fixing, don’t replace. The new washers won’t fit in the compact space we have, and don’t last.
61 years.
Dishwasher (wife 2.0).
Still going strong. Zero maintenance issues so far.
