IDK, this bath-fitter concept of a "remodel" seems like a very odd, shoddy and cheapo
way to do something like a bathroom-remodel. But then again, I know just about nothing about construction and all related!
Bath fitter? Sort of in the category of "replacement windows".
Good suggestions in this thread. Go for it.
WTC. Been there. Done that. The souls of at least a hundred of my friends are in there., God bless you for making it out. Ain't no silly handyman gonna frighten you!
What are you, a comedian? You go on and hire all the unemployed young men, or unemployed man of any age, of any race, culture, creed, I am not discriminating here, that hang around just looking for that one day at a time job, that that you want. I am telling the OP not to do that.
Perhaps call the Bath Fitters company and see if they can send someone out to fix the problem. They are experienced with plumbing issues and should know what they are doing.

I thought the OP was just having an issue with getting her dryer removed and was looking for help to do so. Just so the plumber could get to the plumbing pipe wall, located behind the washer /dryer to work on the tub. My understanding was the OP has someone to repair the tub.
In order to stay on topic, I submitted a suggestion, just like everyone else, that could be used in case her decision didn't work out and she needed another option.
You'd be surprised; their bath "wraps" are pretty expensive. I got a quote for my old bathroom before I decided to retile the walls (there was previously a hideous acrylic paneled cracked wall surround). The Bath Fitter quote was $7.000. It was a LOT cheaper to remove the old surround and retile the walls, even though the new tiles didn't exactly match the old, original tub.

Yikes, that mold underneath was awful. OK, count me among the people who are no longer considering Bath Fitters.
