In our master bathroom, our Delta In2Ition two-in-one 5-setting showerhead broke (the clip that holds the handheld shower to the main shower broke off). I was wondering, should we replace it under warranty or buy something better? I seem to be a fan of magnetic holders, since they seem like they would be less likely to break with frequent use. In our second bathroom that I use I really like my Moen Magnetix 6-setting Engage, however, I think my parents would prefer a two-in-one showerhead.
It appears Delta will soon be updating their standard 5-setting In2Ition with a magnetic holder; they currently offer the H2OKinetic version with one. Should we replace under warranty right away, wait for the magnetic holder version of the standard 5-setting In2Ition, or buy something else better?
Delta offers a lifetime warranty on most of their products.
Yes, this is one of the attractions to buying Delta. Yes you may have to pay a plumber to re-install but it's very nice that they stand behind their products. I have been very impressed with Delta (and made in USA).
From what I understand, Moen is comparable.

Pay a plumber to replace a shower head? don't you just unscrew the old one and screw the new one on?
Just as an update, we've decided to replace under warranty. Delta has already shipped a replacement. The warranty process was fairly straightforward; all they asked for was installation year and some photos of the showerhead.
They are the ones who chose it. My parents didn't seem to have an issue with it. For my shower though I went with a Moen Magnetix 6-Setting Engage. My dad actually tried my Moen while his Delta In2ition was broken, but he prefers his Delta In2ition. I prefer my Moen Magnetix Engage myself.
Wow, well, I guess there has to be SOMEONE obsessed with shower heads. I've never thought about them beyond "yep, spraying me with water - we're good to go!"
And here we have a whole family.
