Depending on the age of the house, and the hose bib location, you may need to turn the main at the street. Some plumbers used to plumb the front hose bib BEFORE the PRV/main shut off so you could have full pressure at that hose bib. Then others were a bit smarter and plumbed it AFTER the shut off- but BEFORE the PRV.
When you do replace it (are you finished already?) I recommend that you solder a threaded fitting and use a replacement hose bib with threaded mount rather than a solder fitting. Now any subsequent replacements can be done with a wrench.
