If you’re looking for a 24” stackable set you should be able to get A LG set for under $1600. It’s a condensing dryer though. I have one for my basement and it works well.
Thanks. They don't know. You have to place the order and usually it's in two weeks but that is not a guarantee.
I'd take the chance to order it. My hub had to the last time our dryer broke. What sucked is that they sent him the wrong part after waiting a week to 10 days for it to be in stock. I'm not sure who he ended up ordering from, the place in your link or the Sears parts site
You can also try finding it with the PDF info that teqp gave you. It sure beats being charged $120 for a $25 part that's being sold for $50

It's gone on our 12 year old dryer twice, was worth replacing since hub did it himself. I wouldn't want to be putting the money out for a new dryer in the coming economy.
It could be a lot of things but taking the inlet hoses off and checking to see if the screen is clogged is the very easiest thing to do. This is actually something you should do occasionally as normal maintenance yearly or every few years. There is other things, typically before the water pump for example there may be a filter that is designed to catch large objects that can damage the pump. If it's collected a lot of stuff the lint starts getting trapped and the pump has to work a lot. This may or may not be easy to get to. On my new washer they have a little easy to open panel for it right on the front of the washer. On most older washers you may have to take off larger panel. Check the manual....
Thanks, but how would that cause the cold cycle to employ hot water to make it warm?
It knows the difference between 80 degrees and 200. It doesn't know the difference anymore between 0 and I'm guessing 80. Feels the same as when I set it to 80 (what I assume I should use for 'warm').
The service manual for the DCD5505W drier calls out part number 616647, which is listed in the original link from appliancepartspros.com as they identify that part number in the cross reference section.
It won't let me order. It says no inventory. I can't find any place that lets me order it. IDK where this guy found one for $120.00
