Meh, maybe. If it prevents one or more people from getting a jolt and landing on their keister, or worse, I don't regard it as a waste of time. I had never seen such a use of an immersion heater suggested before, and to risk a pun, it shocked me that the CPSC would even allow such a use to be advertised.

Who was I annoyed at? The poster I said Men! too? I wasn't annoyed because he didn't know the answer, I was annoyed that he just wanted to send me to the plumbing store, probably just because I'm a woman!
