Approximately a 1600 square foot house. How much - ballpark - would it cost to have someone paint the whole interior and install new carpet? (for each or total - please specify). Also wondering same thing about complete remodel of master bathroom - new vanity, mirror, shower, and wall covering (has old wallpaper right now which would need to be changed to something else.
What all this work might cost in one location may be very different in another: cost of materials and labor. How much prep work your house would require (before paint and carpet installation) is also an unknown. Square footage is one thing, but painting a 1600 sq ft house with cathedral ceilings will be different from a vintage ranch with none. Remodeling a suite...so many variables: would you be relocating plumbing or simply replacing older fixtures? Just the cost of the fixtures alone varies so much.
What someone here tells you could be largely meaningless compared to local estimates. Why not bypass all that and get some real numbers right from the horse's mouth? Get some referrals to good local contractors and discuss it with them. Save yourself a step...you're going to need to hire someone local to do the work anyway.

Couldn’t have said that^^^^ any better.
OP- let that be your guide/roadmap.
It also helps when asking such questions that location be known. From your past posts I’ll assume FL- if that’s the case you can add more to the national average! Every hammer, paintbrush, wrench, or pencil requires a license in FL!
Sounds impossible to specific about…I got cheap carpet at Home Depot about 5 years ago and for 700 sq ft and their free install deal it was like $2k.
Besides local prices for service, you need to understand that everything (paint, carpet, bathroom vanities, shower enclosure, tile etc.) come in many different styles and quality.
You need to separate work and material. You can get bids for work, but you need to pick your materials. Even carpet quality varies and so the prices: carpet cost depends on the construction of the carpet, the type of carpet backing you select, the degree of intricacy and customisation in design...
Latex-based paints cost an average of $15 to $50 per gallon or more. You see what I mean? There are $30 bathroom faucets and $500 faucets. Etc... etc...
Make a list and get yourself familiar with the products you want to buy and their prices. Take appropriate measurements so you would know approx. how much you need of them. Plan your bathroom to see what you need to buy (shower enclosure type and size, vanity - size/type/style, tiles - where, what kind, how many) and so on...
Decide on your budget too. Be flexible.
Take a look at this to get general idea about how prices can vary: https://sweeten.com/renovation-cost-...-home-remodel/
Remember that cost of remodeling went up a lot since this article was printed.
Get at least 3 bids for work cost to compare.
Get professionals that are licensed, insured and bonded, check their references. A bit of a headache, but it saves your money, because screwed up work is very costly to correct.
Make sure that your home renovation is up to code and if you need any permits.
Where I live you might have been able to get that done for $10k 10 years ago. Bathroom remodel was $20,000. Now, well..... ???? Get three bids for each job otherwise you'll have to hire a general contractor to manage the entire project and pay an additional 30% for everything.
You have to get some bids. The quality of the materials and the quality of the labor vary so much it is impossible to give you a guess on the internet.
Carpet can cost between $1 a square foot and $150 a square foot or even more. Install is going to be by the square foot, removal of the old carpet is by the square foot, and pad is by the square foot and you can buy cheap pad or you can buy better quality pad (and it is worth the money to buy the better carpet pad).
You can save a bit on carpeting if you remove the old carpet yourself and haul it away, but that can be a nasty job, depending upon why you are removing it.
A can of paint varies in cost from $20 to $60 a gallon. How good do you want the job to look? How long do you want it to last?
Wallpaper removal can be expensive especially if it was not installed to be easy to remove. Some peels right off and some has to be steamed and scrapped to get it off.
