Of course I had to vote for #1, since that's basically what I did end up buying... it's not "rustic," but is kind of a cabin in the mountains/woods. I love it.

love it but it needs a garage or at least a carport. And has to be moved to Maine or at least PA.

Thanks... and there is a "carport" (just a designated space) to the right of the first photo. I'm in drought-ridden California, so we don't have to worry about enclosing our cars here. In fact it might even be hazardous, due to the extreme fire dangers. Not to say people don't EVER have garages, but most folks use them more for storage than parking.

I bet my house would be a lot cheaper in PA or ME, though.

cheaper for sure.

Yea, I know a lot of people who use the garage for storage and leave their cars outside. I'm not one of them.

In the mountains with no neighbors closer than 10 miles. High on a hill, but in a hollow, so protected from noise. Nothing but trees and sky and maybe a babbling brook that leads into a small lake.

Peace and quiet and freedom from human generated smells, forevermore.

Not "rustic" though. I want normal conveniences. Running water, hot and cold, flushing toilets, electricity and heat.

Me either. I was ecstatic to buy a house with a carport.

Nor am I. I would not have a house that did not have an enclosed, lockable garage where I could park my car.

^^^^I second this

A high rise on a high floor with an awesome city view. Plus in a very walkable city.

Nice! Have you had an arborist come out and check on the health of the trees on your property?
