After careful consideration, I decided to sell our old Delta Leland kitchen faucet.

Right now, I am bundling an unused Moen deck plate with the Delta Leland. This deck plate came with our U by Moen kitchen faucet, which we didn't need since we have a 1-hole sink.

I was wondering, has anyone ever mixed and matched a faucet with a deck plate from a different brand? I can see that there are also generic deck plates out there. Other than potentially not fitting properly, the finishes are not identical (the Delta faucet is Arctic Stainless, while the Moen deck plate is Spot-Resist Stainless). Is it a good idea to include the deck plate or not?

Is there really a huge and picky market for used kitchen faucets? How much are you hoping to get for it?

Right now I am selling for $85 + shipping. Getting over 200 views on eBay, but no buyers yet.

Could you imagine the horror of a slightly different grain the the brushed stainless? I’m sure my kitchen would spontaneously combust under the pressure, tanking the value of the entire neighborhood.

So, you are saying I should sell the deck plate separately? I was trying to accommodate buyers who have both 1-hole and 3-hole sinks, so the deck plate would be a nice bonus. Many new kitchen faucets include deck plates, which you don't typically get when buying second-hand. This faucet was installed by our builder, so we don't have the original Delta deck plate.

Include it with the faucet and let the buyer worry about throwing it away.

Let’s see…

First there was which faucet was best, then it was a sink. Oh, let’s not forget about the t’stat!

Now we’re multifarious, amalgamating faucets!!?

Geez! I can only imagine what will be next- “pink faucets”?!!!

Kohler has a Rose Gold finish, but due to trends coming and going, I am not going to buy into a trend that may go out of style. Same goes with Matte Black, Brushed Gold, and Black Stainless.

Having a very hard time imagining wasting this much mental anguish over used faucet parts (let alone trying to sell them). List the danged things as a bundle made up of different brands. Note whether the deck plate will fit the faucet or not. Provide photos of the finishes. Bidders can decide for themselves what matters to them. The ones who do care won't bid. The ones who don't care will.
