Is this a forced air HVAC unit, or hot water heating? Is it air movement noise or mechanical noise from a blower (forced air) or pump (hot water)? Or even the noise of a burner/flame? Is the unit in good mechanical condition? Vibrating? Bearings going out? Cavitation in a pump? Etc., etc., etc. Is there a door on the closet that faces the space where you are? Is it sealed? Can it be sealed or do there have to be penetrations for combustion air? Are the ducts isolated from the wall structure or resting against the wall? How are the ducts supported - are they hung from sturdy structural members, or just kind of leaning on walls so any duct vibration will ring big expanses of lightly supported drywall like a big speaker cone?

You need to figure out what's causing the noise, whether it's abnormal or not, and how the noise is getting from the HVAC closet to your ears, before you randomly start buying stuff.
Well said. There are several different types of "electric heaters". Personally, I don't know of any that make much, if any, noise. If we knew what type electric heater he was taling about, it would be easier to make relevant recommendations.

Sometimes the baseboard type electric heaters will make some light popping noise due to heat expansion of the metal, but that's not usually a significant amount of noise. A better description of the problem would no doubt lead to better recommendations of how to fix it.

Lennox is simply a brand name. That tells me nothing about the TYPE of heating system it is.

Is it a Forced Air Resistance heater?

Is it a Baseboard Electric Resistance heater?

Is it a Baseboard Electric Circulating Water heater?

Etc.

Well, I think the one line uncapitalized unpunctuated response to my list of diagnostic questions and your request for "a better description of the problem" pretty much tells us all we need to know about this situation.

We can choose to chat amongst ourselves if we wish to, but OP's not going to put forth any effort to actually help resolve his concerns.

Put zero effort into your question, get zero-effort answers.
