the 6250w is SURGE capacity.

Do you have any subpanels (garage/shop/wellpump)? that you need to turn breakers off on too, when testing?

Is the interlock properly requiring you to turn the MAIN breaker OFF before the generator breaker is moved to ON ?
The big breakers (range, W/H, A/C, furnace, dryer) get turned off and left off as well as the unconnected breakers. The 120v breakers connected to the generator are mainly just outlet and lights with the refrigerator being the biggest one. Everything is turned off to begin with and only the breakers that I want on are turned on.

Yes, the interlock requires me to turn off the main breaker before I can turn on the generator breaker.

^ Seems if you got all that covered then it's either mis-wired or getting leak-back on the ground wire tripping the GFCI

I think we already said that. Its connected via a breaker interlock, the neutral and ground are bonded at the service panel causing a GFCI trip.

The fix is to remove the bond at the generator since the one at the service is required to be there

WEN sent me another inverter for my generator. I changed it out and I am ready to test it on my house. It worked on my RV and powered two a/c units. The double pole 30 amp breaker right now has only one pole wired for 120. Can I just connect the other wire (wire nut off to the side) to the other pole? I don't want to pay for an electrician to come back out for 5 minutes of work. I will turn off all of the power at the pole before I do this.
