Do I really need a Termite bond?
How can I found out if it would be a waste of time & money for me to get one?

If you live in North Carolina I would say it is not necessary in order to sale a house. If you are just wondering if you should protect your home than I would suggest that you have a termite inspection and if they determine that you have termites or have had them you might wish to consider having the bond to protect you for future problems.

If you are selling your home the new people will get a termite inspection and if they find termites you will be responsible to repair the damage and rid the home of termites at that time the new owners will consider purchasing the bond.

Hope this has been some help to you.

Hey everyone, I'm having the same problems as kikolou. I want to know if I really need a termite bond, and I was wondering if a termite inspection is really necessary for termite extermination. I am still asking because we called a nearby company and they said it is going to cost us approximately 800$! And we can't afford that.

Can someone help?
