I'm looking for a reference book or website that will guide us through kitchen remodeling. A step by step low-budget guide would be excellent. Anyone knows something like this?

thank you,
Jeff

Are you looking for a book to guide you through remodeling your kitchen yourself, or something to help you with the general concepts to assist you when you hire a contractor?

Perhaps something like Handyman magazine/books would be worthwhile. They seem to have step by step instructions and mostly for the do-it-yourselfers. Order family handyman magazine for home improvement and home repair. Order Today and get 50% off

After a lot of looking at books and websites, the best comprehensive guide ended up being a kitchen designer... very much worth the money - some things we thought we liked we understood what better options were... also learned some great things that fit into our smaller budget... in the long-run we saved money by having the professional design up front and there are only a couple of minor nit-picking things we would do different if doing it again.

Forget buying books. Do people do that anymore? Just like Carpenters still enjoy watching Bob Vila building homes, I as a certified professional Kitchen Designer still enjoy reading this page. Its the best one I know of.

Kitchen Cabinets Library - Wood, Metal, Thermofoil, Install, Reface, Repair

Go to the box that says "Kitchen Cabinets Library" All those links will keep you busy and are full of unbiased information. Forget those "pay-per-click" ads. They are just that....ads. You dont need to click on an ad because they look curious and make others rich. Just read the free info.

If there are any other questions I would be happy to answer them for you.

Good luck !

I think I saw at least five different books on kitchens the last time I was wandering through Home Despot.
