Those are really neat I think. When I first read your post I thought "vinyl + wall = I won't like it" but I think I would like to get something from there!
yes, I have used them and they're great. I put up a chandelier in the dining room that I bought of ZOZO Living. Stunning decals, Untitled Document
Hi, came across this thread when searching for our own company on the web.
Let me try to answer your questions.
Removing decals.
The data sheet of the 3M film we use for our decals states the following:
"3M [..] Film [..] is removable with little adhesive residue using no heat for the removal process. For best removal performance, it is recommended to remove the film at an angle of 90 degree from the substrate in one continuous motion."
The film is pretty strong and we found that the decals are relatively easy to remove. It all depends to what the decals have been exposed to. Temperature differences, high UV, etc. can make the removable process harder. But under normal indoor situations you take these off in one piece.
Humid weather or shower steam?
If the decals have been applied properly (dry, clean, oil free, smooth surface) they can stay up quite some time. 3M gives indications of outdoor life expectancies tested around Europe. In mediterranean Europe durability is around 2 years for colours, and 3 years for black.white. In Central Europe this is 4-5 years. We have tested the vinyl ourselves in New Zealand (lots of UV). We aplied the vinyl on a bookshelf and put that on the roof of our house on the beach; north-facing (southern hemisphere, so maximum sunshine/UV), 45 degree angle. After 5 months of heat, UV, rain, hail, salt water, sand, dust, and bird poo the vinyl started to look a wee bit different if you know what I mean. But still 5 months under these harsh conditions.. pretty good I would say.
So, shower steam could shorter the life time of the decals, but still you will get a reasonable life time out of these fabulously designed ZOZO Living wall decals.
Hope that helps.
I have seen lots of glass doors here in Florida with beautiful etchings done on them. I love the glass doors with etchings of palm trees and egrets or flamingos. I am looking for them in a white vinyl stickon. Anyone know who would have them? Do not want to spend alot since the etching is not that much to have done. Like $85.00 a door. And I want to do two sets of double indoor full glass doors.
