what type of house phone do you use, whose your provoider and how is it connected on your house. Do you still use old copper phone jacks in your house or your cordless phone right to cable modem with satellite phones.

My 40 year old copper wireing and and telephone interface box in closet is not work with my new cablevision phone service as phones stopped working after 1 hour. Could have service come back and try to fix wireing but decided to use a expandable cordles phone system directly to modem as less of a hassle. Panasonic 6-0.dgital kttg9333. Also have a cell phone

No phone and no cable.

I just use my mobile phone and have a data card for the laptop.

POTS (plain old telephone system)... wires running to the house just like in the olden days, lol. I have two actually. One is my home line and carries my alarm system if it goes off and the other is my business line and handles faxes.

I honestly don't use either for voice much. I don't give out the numbers (except as a fax number) so if people need me they call my cell. I do prefer the land line when calling out though. Easier to handle than a cell phone and better quality.

I have both the wired service and cellphones. I like the landline for DSL and to take recorded calls ;so has not to have to answer my cell all the time.

We were paying so much, then figured out if we get a cell with the home # on it would only cost $10 a month.

My home is 30 years old. I have no idea what kind of wiring is on the other side of the phone jack. I have two cordless phones and one corded phone and they plug into the phone jacks in the wall. My provider is Qwest.

that's 'fiber-to-the-house"; not fiber inside your walls.
