Okay-this relates to my last post. How much work is it to maintain a wooden screened porch vs tiled? Would love input from those that have them. House will be in North Carolina. Probably not interested in a trex like product despite the ease of maintenance-not a fan of the look of it.
Thanks!

I should mention my husband is the opposite of handy. I am slightly better, but not by much.

I have a house with screened in porch,I have to paint every couple of years, and replace screens were needed. We live in the Poconos MT, so we get a lot of snow,so I have to cover the screenes with plastic every year,A real pain in the ass,I plan on getting a price on windows this year to replace the screens.

Are you speaking just about the floor? (Wood vs. tiled)

My screened porch (which stated out with wood decking floor is now tiled with slate) gets practically no rain in it - the eave overhang seems to keep everything out. Thus, there's been near zero maintenance - just cleaning.
