I was mowing and ripped out the thermostat wire from the AC condenser unit outside. There are 3 wires, green, red and white.
These clip into a circuit board on the AC unit, one black and one yellow wire.
Anyone know whether it's red and black or red and yellow vs white and black or white and yellow?
There is 24 V running through the thermostat wire and the AC kicks in if i depress the contactor, just wanted to know the right polarity for these wires.
Red = Thermostat power wire(24 Volt) - R connection
White = Cooling call - W connection
Green = Fan switch in T-stat - G termination.
It is as easy as it looks.
This is a cooling only unit, correct?
Thanks for the reply.
But what wires do i connect the red and the white wire to? I have Yellow and Black on the panel...
