I am planning to relocate to the Houston area from Maryland next year and i wanted to find out as much info as possible. I've been an Lpn for three years and wanted to know about the job market for a nurse. Also, I'm married with one small child and will be looking to rent for a while until we find the right area to buy a home. I would like to find a three bedroom 2 bATH for around $1200/mo if possible. I appreciate any replies and please let me know if i need to give more specifics. One thing i do know, FIND THE JOB FIRST!

First of all, I want to crown you Queen of Posters.

You told us you want to rent, how much in rent budget and how big the place needs to be, that you're in the medical field so we know approx. areas of town - and you know you need a job first because you probably found other threads where we all said Job First. Could we clone you?

There are several medical hubs, the largest being The Medical Center south of downtown, where housing is expensive. There would be a commute.

The other hubs are 290/1960, Tomball, Sugar Land, and I-10/Gessner (seems like I am forgetting one). Other hospitals/clinics scattered around town. All of these areas have housing in your budget and decent schools.
