Hello. My company is relocating me to Houston this fall, and I would like to know which areas are safe, affluent, and community oriented. I would like to be close enough to the 610 loop so that a morning commute will take no longer than 45 minutes. Please let me know which areas are best. Budget is $2500/Mo. for rent only, not including utilities or cable.

Thank you!

You'll have lots of options at that price. What part of town or 610 do you want to be close by?

Do you need a large home or would something smaller but closer to town do fine? Do schools matter? I can immediately recall many different townhome options in that price range. Most over 2k sq ft with many upgrades. Or many different nice homes in the suburbs. Options in between too.

Hello, thank you! Anywhere near the loop is fine, anything 30-45 minutes outside of it at any point would work. I would like something large, not a fan of high or midrise living, I like townhomes and condos, or even a home. What are some nice neighborhoods that have all the domestic goodness a woman would want? Target, Gourmet groceries, etc. Just looking for the best Houston has to offer

You have a lot of options in that price range. Check around Kirby, Shepard, and all the way to downtown. Those areas have tons of shopping and restaurants. Very affluent with some very good grocery stores.

1. How many bedrooms are you looking for?
2. What are some amenities/features that you absolutely need?

You have a really good price range, therefore, it will not be very difficult to locate a nice rental property outside/inside the loop.

Yes, google Upper Kirby, it is close to everything. Afton Oaks has HEB Central Market (gourmet grocery) nearby. West U is really safe and family oriented, very affluent and has 2 large groceries there. Museum District is close to a lot museums. Montrose is central to everything and downtown. All these areas are really close together so it's just a matter of what you like.
