From the national weather service...

"

Thank god...looking forward to seeing summer in the rear view mirror.

So far it's highs in the mid 80s and lows in the low 60s for most of next week.

stop poking fun at the outfit I picked for next week

This summer was unusually mild.

Either the previous summers were not as hot as I remember them, or I hear that Houston is hot so often that I expected it to be hotter than it really was, but I think this summer was not that bad. Loved it. Heres to a fabulous fall and a wonderful winter

Ha - the only time I have ever worn earmuffs is in NYC. And loved it!

I wore a jacket, shorts and flip flops on my first trip to Seattle, after a few days I ditched the jacket (especially after it stopped raining)

This August was the hottest August in all of Houston's known history. Definitely not a mild summer.

There should be an annual festival or celebration where everyone rejoices over summer finally leaving.

No, I remember the summer about 5 years back having several days over 103 degrees. That was worse. I think I even remember 107 plus.
