depends on where they move to. Houston is 10,000 square miles.

in your scenario it would be increasing my only 200-300 people per square mile.

There are job centers all over the metro. they don't all need to move to the core.

anyway, I think the number this decade will be 1700K

DFW will be 900K

I dunno, but we will be having 800K new babies this decade. we love making those

we are gonna end the decade with 7,649,000 people
DFW will be at 7,271,000 and ATL 5.8M

I think DFW will slow down personally. Probably around 900k. Houston has the location advantage to even increase what they had in the 2000s. I could definitely see both Houston and DFW above 7 million though. Could Houston get to 2 million, though. I don't see that happening. But 7.1 million for Houston and 7.2 million for DFW is what I expect in 2020. I think Atlanta will be around 6.1 million. They are in similar position as DFW. But DFW has the better economy.

I don't even see Atlanta above 6 million this decade. I do think that more and more people are going to flock to Texas this decade.

Overall, I think Houston and Dallas will have more growth. However, I think Atlanta will surpass 6 million.

ATL is at 5.2M right now
DFW is at 6.4M and
GH is at 9.95

you think ATL is gonna grow by 900k and DFW at 800K? That is counter-intuitive
to your last sentence.

I think Southernboy is the only one who is thinking here.

I am with him. I think ATL won't get to 6M this decade.
