The Woodlands would be my choice. I'll see if I can get a friend/c-d'r to respond to you as they have a similar scenario with one working at IAH and the other looking at jobs in the downtown area. They live in TW.

Topaz, for the schools and a great quality of life, The Woodlands is the best option. My wife works by IAH and her commute is miniscule considering she has to be there at 6:00 a.m. But for times that the traffic gets heavy, and it does, we have E-Z Tags for all of our vehicles. Tell your friend good luck with the move where ever it is.

I agree. I would not suggest the Woodlands if hubby is working downtown.
Definitely lookin into Eagle Springs and Oakhurst. Though Oakhurst will be a New Caney school district.

The crime levels in Summerwood and Fall Creek im sure are the same as the levels are in The Woodlands and Sugarland commmunties. Both are great established communities with nice brand new schools. Also alot of great new developments are taking place and will continue to take place. This portion of the beltway is booming as far as new developments. Im not sure why MDinTelfair would say that the crime rate is bad over in this area he must be confused about the location of the neighborhoods. Of course the neighborhoods aren't as established as The Woodlands, Sugarland or Kingwood because they are newer and will eventually be just as established as those areas very soon. The neighborhoods have homes that range from the 200's to the millions with their own grocery stores, shopping centers, and even golf courses so I think she definitely should have a look at the area. Plus it would be the shortest and easiest commute.
