My wife and I just moved back to Houston from Dallas (I'm from Houston) and are interested in renting before we buy a house in the suburbs most likely. What' the best area of town to live in for people our age, married, professionals, etc.? She works off Allen Parkway, and I'm currently about to leave the job I just took a few months ago here in the Woodlands area, so most of my opportunities are likely to be in Houston. The idea is to shorten the commute and live in the city before we start having kids. Personally, I'm hoping that we like doing so enough to eventually buy in the city as well.
