Gotta admit, thats also the first time Ive ever heard someone say Dallas was more run down than Houston. Typically people say Dallas is refined but fake and Houston is run down, but authentic.

Also, I cant see how sports could possibly be a reason for choosing Houston over Dallas. It may not be a dramatic difference but the sports scene is definately better and has a larger following up here.

Actually, We got hit bad by the economy which is why we moved to begin with. We were choosing between Texas or Nebraska and chose Texas because she wanted to be close to her family and I wanted to be close to the beaches. Sports played a part but not a ton, I only cared about MLB and the NFL.

We've found Houston to be nice a newer looking then Nashville and the time we spent in Dallas we just didn't care for it. Like I was saying, It just had that "old city" feel to it.

When we were in Dallas we stayed close to this place called Dallas Life which I later found out was a shelter.. Maybe we didn't spend enough time around the city but our impression of what we saw was run down.

When ever you watch the news down in Houston they rarely mention Dallas even when doing the weather. Its like Dallas doesn't exist to Houston & vice versa.
Who hangs on to something like this? Only people here would care to remember it and bring it up in a convo. It's quite embarrassing.

I don't think Dallas is the only one with a identity crisis.
