Hi you guys 2 more weeks to the big move my friend and I found an apartment near Richmond and gessner in the galleria area and I have a job lined up at a nursing home on Cambridge and. old spanish trail across from the Medical center. How long is this commute driving and by bus. What bus route would I have to take and how long would. it take me on the metro. Is it anything worth seeing along the way as far as amenities.

I wouldn't call Richmond and Gessner the Gallaria Area, thats more like The Westchase District. You can catch the 53 on Westheimer and take that downtown and then get on the train to the Med Center. Don't know how long that takes. It takes about 30 Minutes by car.

Well yeah I'm guessing its on the border of far west galleria and the outer rings of westchase. And by train do you mean the light rail?

That is not Galleria at all, you are on the fringe of Westchase. For bus info question here you go: METRO. As for driving, you are going to have to go through a lot of traffic no matter what. Depending on the time you go, I would expect a 30-45 minute commute. However, if you pay the toll on Westpark (which is very close to your apt) you can probably shave off about ten minutes. I'm not sure what you're budget is or if you're locked in but you can find decent apartments near your job for ~$600/month.

What Dv1033 said. NOT Galleria, not the greatest part of town. 45min drive unless you're missing traffic altogther. Can rent closer to your workplace.
