Hello,

My wife and I have grown very tired of life around I-45 and FM1960 and are looking at houses to rent and found a decent house for rent for the right price from an easy going landlord but I have no idea about the neighborhood and I know it's close to some that are just as bad if not worse then the one we're in now.. We're currently just south of Spring in the 77090 zip code and the house we're looking to rent is in a nice looking subdivision, (When I say that I mean kept up yards and no trash everywhere) It's near the intersection of Addicks Clodine Rd. and Westpark Drive in the 77082 zip code, Is this a good, decent, bad, horrible, or war zone type of neighborhood ?

Also, I know it's in Alief ISD territory, We have a learning disabled, 10 year old son and was wondering if Alief ISD had a good special ed program ?

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks !

The area just north of westpark tollway is probably the better section of Alief. You definitely would not see the Alief-Bissonet scene there. The Shadowlake/Royal Oaks/Camden apartments are nice IMO and is in walking distance to the hospitals, food shopping, restaurants, even Outley elementary school. there are some low rent apartments around here but I dont see too many teens walking around so maybe theyre not that cheap. try ericcarlson.net to see if your apartment complex is in bad shape or not
I have no experience with Alief ISD school programs. From what I've read, Alief ISD has a student problem than an administration problem in general.

There are towering apartments near there, new ones clustering around superwalmart. To be honest that didn't look good to me but we'll see.

Why don't you just move into the 77379 zip code, very close to where you are in the Klein district. Much better.

Search 77379 on www.har.com
