Does anyone have opinions/comments on the Canyon Gate & Greatwood neighborhoods in Richmond? (ie:Crime,HOA, neighborhood) Any assistance woud be appreciated! Thanks!

Greatwood is nice but it's a pain to get to because of the construction. I have family in Greatwood and Bridlewood. Bridlewood is very nice also and you can have horses, acreage, etc.

Greatwood looks fantastic, BUT the schools are not the greatest. If you're opting for home school or private school then you'll find the area very attractive and well planned. US59 is under construction and I think that portion of it should be done pretty soon.

Greatwood is a great neighborhood to live in. The expansion of Highway 59 is complete and traffic is almost nonexistent. We have 4 hospitals in the area. The neighborhood is safe and the schools are excellent, with 3 elementary schools in the neighborhood and a new high school being built soon. We are 5 minutes from Sugar Land Town Square and 5 minutes from Rosenburg Town Center. Best of all, you can live in a beautifull home on a wooded lot, on one of the many lakes, or on the golf course.

There are many foreclosures in Canyon Gate and the HOA is very high. Greatwood is nice and I believe they are building a new middle and High school just down Crabb River Rd.
