Just got my tax appraisal hearing note to appear in person on 6/9/2011 and of couse I can't do it since I am out of the contry for the entire month of June. I have the right to once postpone / reschedule my hearing before July 20 and all my attempts to talk to somoene there who can do that were a disaster so far. If it was for me I will FIRE all those LAZY incompetents.

How does one go through this birocratic mess and re-schedule the darn hearing. It looks like they're doing everything so you can't re-schedule it, and they're very good at it from what I can tell.

That's Fort Bend for you. Tough, strict, hardcore, almost military. They enjoy weilding (wielding?) power over the community.

I sent my meek wife to my HCAD initial meeting. I armed her with a few docs and problem solved.
