We are young couple without kids. Husband works in downtown and plan to buy house in summer. We now kinda narrow down our choice to SL, ST and SC.

Please throw us some thoughts. Thanks!!!!

Where in downtown will he be working.

We live in Southwyck which is not far from these subdivisions. Your choice will depend on what you are looking for in the way of price and amenities.

Silver Creek is zoned to Pearland ISD. It has tennis courts, jogging trails, a putting green and a pool. There is golf available at the Southwyck golf club as well. It is not in the city of Pearland though, but in Manvel. It is between Southfork and Bailey Road for access to 288.

Silverlake has a pool and splash pad and a cross usage agreement with Southwyck. There are tennis courts, a club house (you can rent this facility). There is also a park with baseball and soccer fields. Silverlake has a cross usage agreement with Southwyck which means access to two other pools and several other parks. The schools are in Pearland ISD.

Southern Trails is off CR 59. They have a pool and a resort style clubhouse. There schools are in Alvin ISD. They have their own fitness center and lots of walking trails and parks. There are several man made lakes.

Good luck!

I am most familiar with Silverlake and Southwyck, but I think all of these are nice communities.

nana053, thank you so much.

I did a search on har.com. It seems houses in southwyck are much cheaper than the ones in silverlake. is that true? if so, what are the reasons?

Silverlake and southern trails are all within acceptable commute distance for hubby.
