eh, kingwood was not the rest of the city.

although you do bring up a good point. this city is so huge that it can have different weather within its boundaries.

i remember driving from my side of town into galveston county and seeing rain fall in pearland, or in webster as i was driving in, or maybe it'd be raining over houston, but it was bone dry as i headed south or north.

I seem to remember Octobers being rather chilly, especially at night, with last year as the only exception to that. I think people focus on summer and never mentally let it go because the weather usually is very nice towards the end of September through the last part of April.

August is an awful month. Quite a bit of July has tolerable evenings. August evenings are so soupy even chickens and noodles refuse to go outside.

I'd just watched our local news and you guys are stading at 90+F! We are around 77F because we are getting severe storms and heavy rain showers currently.

That's one of the things that I REALLY miss in Houston--Rain!

We average over 50 inches of rain a year and over the past so many months we have been wilting away in an exceptional drought. I miss having thunderstorms roll in from the gulf in the afternoon and just drench us in rain... Temps will drop 20 degrees and it reminds me of why I think Houston is the greatest city in Texas.

Usually around late September/October is when temps get more bearable...it'll start with cold, humid mornings & warmer in the afternoon, & then cool weather will hopefully set in.

I predict a rainy fall season this year.

YAY climate change!

The ones I feel sorry for are those who do hard physical labor outdoors in the heat-- construction workers, gardeners, utility workers, etc. Not only are they laboring under the sun but the asphalt surfaces have got to be 20 degrees hotter than the ambient air temperature.
