So, with the main lanes closed, where do you think they will divert all that traffic exactly?

I think you are missing the point, or are new to Houston... if the latter, welcome to Houston!

If you are coming into Katy from the west...from brookshire take fm 359 down to fulshear and you can hop on westhimer/west park tollway from there....we did it numerous times last weekend. Avoid grand parkway/pin oak at all costs. Problem solved.

no, not missing the point. That's what they were saying on the news....lol. Using the feeders as alternate routes.

Personally, if they are heading West on I-10, i think they should exit off Mason go north and turn left on Park Row and take that allll the way to Katy Fort Bend. Turn left onto KFB and take that back to I-10 W. Park Row changes to Colonial Pkwy west of Grand Pkwy (99).

Someone mentioned Kingsland. another good alternate route. Kingsland, West, to Pin Oak.

he's saying the feeders will be in grid lock as all the people that didnt plan to take alternate routes will be stuck on them going through the lights.

Everyone is probably exiting Mason. I'd exit a few exits before at either Barker, Fry, or Greenhouse and take Park Row west all the way to Katy. Ft Bend, or go south to Kingsland and take that west to Pin Oak.

I agree. You're right. Or even before that, exit at Hwy 6 and go north and turn left onto Park Row. Stay allllllllllllll the way west to KFB.
