I am in the IT industry and am relocating to Houston. I need a connection. I am trying to set up a few day trip to Houston for interviews. I am looking for a Support Position. I have experience in help desk and Data Center. If anyone has a connection please HELP.

I don't have a lot of connections, but HP has a data center on the NorthWest side of town. Perhaps try
www.hp.com and look for Houston jobs.

Frustrated not as many hits as i thought there would be. Looks like there are so many jobs there for help desk and desktop support. People won't even consider looking at outside candidate? Any ideas?

If you are really serious, google the Houston Chronicle top 100 Houston companies. They publish it every year. Then go to each individual company's website and apply there. You will find many more openings than you will see on monster.com or careerbuilders.com.
