Where can I buy some tree and shrubs at good prices, maybe wholesale or good discounts? Looking for about 20 trees (15, 30 gal) and shrubs (5 gal) to fit in between....Any ideas please?

No trees and shrubs on sale right now, because now is not a good time to plant anything with big roots. The best time is in Fall.
See what experts say:
"Houston landscapers are often asked when the best time is to plant trees, shrubs and other landscaping. A good rule of thumb is to plant as far as possible from the "stress time" for your area. In Houston, summer is the stress time due to the heat.
Planting in late fall or winter will allow roots to become established before moisture demanding summer sets in. A general rule of thumb is to plant them when you know they won't have to endure excessive stress. Planting in fall, winter and early spring allows roots to grow and develop. Beginning this slow process at a low-stress time of year helps the plants become established before summer begins."

RCW on 249 at Beltway 8.
I would pay a fair price to get someone to plant and guaranty trees. The trees they planted for me never wilted. Shrubs, too.
Those heavily advertised big places on busy streets come and go. You have no idea where the plants have been or of they have been properly cared for.
I would not plant anything now. Wait until the middle of Oct. at the earliest.

15-20 trees x at least $30 = $600+. Any nurseery will give you 15-20% off for this amount. Feel free to say that you are a landscaper, this will help too.

Now, if you want to bargain even more, you can call around the nurseries in your area and bargain over the phone. Tell them a) you want to buy 20 pcs of [name] trees and b) you have this [$XX] price from another nursery.

See how much they can knock off.

To find local nurseries, go to maps.google.com and type [your zipcode] and "nursery".

Plants are not car parts. They need care while waiting to be sold. That dealer on the cheap is gonna sell you stuff they forgot to water until you called.

So I finally found a fantastic deal on 65 Gal trees, $120 each.

Now I have some questions around spacing.

I have about 175 FT of fence line to cover with Wax Myrtles. I am planning to use the 65 GAL Wax Myrtles and here I have 2 questions:

1. Based on previous reading the spacing between the trees should be around 10FT, I plan to stay in this house for long time and I don't want the trees to look like crap after 5 years

2. What distance from the fence I should plant those 65 GAL Wax Myrtles? 3 or 4 FT? The closer with the fence the better for me so I can build smaller garden beds, but I don't want to screw up

Are you going to keep them as shrubs or trim them up as ornamental trees?

Ornamental trees that is. I will let them grow as much as they can since I am planning to live there for 20+ I just measured my backyard and it looks like 12 Ft between them will do just fine... For the fence line I am thinking 4 Ft and I plan to train them so they won't be so rich...
